Nieuwe sociale verbanden worden ondersteund door de ontwikkeling van nieuwe technologie, die vooral lokale en regionale economische groei bevordert. Duurzaamheid is bezig een erkend bedrijfsdoel te worden omdat innovatie in een duurzame omgeving economische groei toelaat zonder nadelige gevolgen voor omgeving en samenleving. Duurzame bedrijven moeten afrekenen met de cultuur van de apenrots en het nemen van onverantwoorde risico\u2019s, en daarom is het belangrijk dat vrouwen een groeiend aandeel in de economie nemen. Alle tendensen die we hebben besproken versterken elkaar. Het geheel is samen te vatten in de slagzin \u2018think global, act local\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alle genoemde trends samen maken de kracht van ons \u2018oude\u2019 continent uit. Het is minder gericht op materi\u00eble winst dan de VS, minder op het vervaardigen van zo veel mogelijk goederen in grote hoeveelheden. Maar meer op kwaliteit, kennis, technologie en duurzaamheid in een organisatie die daarvoor het best is toegerust. Met een zo goed mogelijk bestaan voor allen die aan die samenleving deel hebben. Dat is de kracht van Europa.<\/p>\n<p>De toekomst is aan hen die de herstellende trends oppakken en bevorderen, al lijken ze nog zo onaanzienlijk. Europa heeft alle middelen in huis waarmee het haar crisis te boven kan komen.
