Kunstmatige fotosynthese zouden ze mogelijk al in vijf jaar kunnen bereiken.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Voor wat de betreft de CO2-economie blijkt hun voorsprong uit het enorme aantal patenten dat ze de laatste drie jaar hebben aangevraagd. Zoveel dat het onze IP-positie op een gegeven moment zou kunnen blokkeren. En dan krijg je de situatie dat de fundamentele kennis zich in Europa bevindt &#8211; zoals op de meeste wetenschappelijke gebieden waarvoor de Chinese studenten naar het Westen komen &#8211; maar de technologische kennis daar in het Oosten. Iets dat eigenlijk ook geldt voor de zonne-energie. Elk jaar openen de Chinezen een nieuwe fabriek voor zonnepanelen zodat ze altijd over de nieuwste technologie beschikken. Kom daar eens om in Europa. Hun prijzen zijn (daardoor?) zo laag dat de Amerikanen klagen over oneerlijke concurrentie en daarom de Chinese panelen een importheffing van 24 tot 36% hebben opgelegd. De Chinezen beweren natuurlijk dat het komt door hun superieure technologie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Voorsprong in productietechnologie<\/strong><br \/>\nMethanol maken ze door hun overschot aan elektriciteit te gebruiken om H2 te produceren en dat en dat met CO2 om te zetten in methanol (ook eigenlijk CO2-economie) en kunstmatig vlees door aminozuren te polymeriseren tot polypeptiden of door directe productie van deze polypeptiden. Ze moeten wel want de beschikbare hoeveelheid veevoer is beperkt en China moet al soja importeren.<\/p>\n<p>Op al deze gebieden ligt China inmiddels voor op technologisch gebied en wat Europa de das omdoet is de lange tijd die wij nodig hebben om tot een beslissing te komen. Als we al tot een beslissing komen met 27 landen die allemaal hun eigen belang najagen.
