Dat meldt de nieuwsbrief GroenLinks Europa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Volgens Bas Eickhout, Europarlementari\u00ebr voor GroenLinks, zitten er nog grote gaten in de Europese wetgeving waardoor het milieu en de waterkwaliteit grote risico&#8217;s lopen. Hij meldt in de nieuwsbrief dat de Nederlandse waterschappen de zorgen van het Europarlement delen. Daarnaast vraagt hij zich af of de bij het boren gebruikte chemicali\u00ebn wel zijn toegestaan onder de Europese wetgeving. De Commissie heeft onlangs een studie gepresenteerd waarin staat dat deze boringen grote risico&#8217;s met zich mee kunnen brengen voor het grondwater en de biodiversiviteit. Bas Eickhout noemt schaliegaswinning een doodlopende weg en meldt dat Frankrijk bijvoorbeeld al een moratorium op schaliegaswinning uitgeroepen.
