{"id":1385,"date":"2012-07-25T09:30:32","date_gmt":"2012-07-25T08:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biobasedpress.eu\/wordpress\/?p=1385"},"modified":"2018-01-15T16:14:48","modified_gmt":"2018-01-15T15:14:48","slug":"een-fietsende-lawine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biobasedpress.eu\/nl\/2012\/07\/een-fietsende-lawine\/","title":{"rendered":"Een fietsende lawine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ik was zo&#8217;n kleine twintig jaar niet meer in de bergen geweest &#8211; met een huisje in de Franse campagne waar je steeds weer naar toegaat &#8211; maar nu kwam het er toch van. In de Franse Alpen, bij Morzine ergens, gingen we lekkere bergwandelingen maken; stevige schoenen en rugzakjes mee. Wat gelijk opvalt is dat je tot een uitstervende soort behoort. vrijwel alleen bejaarden doen dat nog. De jeugd gaat op de fiets, de Velo Tout Terrain noemen ze het.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En niet zomaar. Voorzien van een robotintegraalhelm &#8211; met camera bovenop om hun eigen coole, halsbrekende afdalingen te filmen &#8211; en verder geheel bepantserd , stuiven ze van de skihellingen, over alpenweiden en door de bossen naar beneden, aldoende argeloze wandelaars de stuipen op het lijf (zo niet erger) jagend. En dat is nog tot daar aan toe wij bejaarde bergwandelaars zijn een verdwijnende soort waar ze geen boodschap aan hebben, zoals ik schreef , maar voor de natuur is het desastreus. Eenmaal beneden springen ze in de skilift &#8211; die tegenwoordig met fietsdragers is uitgerust &#8211; en boven begint het opnieuw. Leuk voor pubers met heel veel adrenaline. Zou je denken, want waar ski\u00ebrs zich over de sneeuw bewegen, raggen deze milieucriminelen gewoon de bovenlaag van de hellingen. en het zijn er niet tien, nee duizenden. En dat alles voor het korte gewin van de Morzineese middenstand, want het is duidelijk dat je dit niet een aantal tientallen jaren moet volhouden.<\/p>\n<p>Kom, dachten we op een beetje mindere dag &#8211; voor de rest was het prachtig weer, niet in de rest van Frankrijk, maar wel in de Zuid Oost hoek &#8211; we gaan even lunchen in Morzine en daar zag ik ze voor het eerst. Het stadje was er vol mee, overal reden ze rond op weg naar de volgende lift om hun kunstje te herhalen. Alles tot hogere inkomsten van de plaatselijke winkeliers en lifteigenaren. Het leek me toen, ter plekke, wel een aardige en sportieve bezigheid, tot ik de verwoestingen zag die ze boven aanrichten. Nu vind ik ski\u00ebn al een hoog-technologische bezigheid met die liften en die prachtige, uitgebalanceerde materialen, maar dit sloeg alles. Net of American footballplayers onder een hoek van 45 graden naar beneden hun sport bedreven.<\/p>\n<p>Die jongens, en een enkel stoer meisje dat ook mee mocht doen, hadden de tijd van hun leven en duidelijk geen enkele boodschap aan natuurbehoud, kringlopen en groene economie.
