SUMMARY:2020 International Summit on Bio-based Chemicals and Materials
DESCRIPTION:Bio-based chemicals and materials are one of the hot new materials currently. According to Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development\, more than USD 4 trillion of products  come from chemical processes worldwide. In the next 10 years\, at least 20% of petrochemical products (about USD 800 billion) can be replaced by bio-based products.\n The European Union proposes the development target of the bio-based economy in 2030. Bio-based chemicals will account for 30% of the EU’s total chemical output. Among high-value-added chemicals and polymer materials\, bio-based products will account for 50%. The USA sets a goal that bio-based chemicals and materials can account for 50% of the entire chemical and materials market by 2050. Bio-based chemicals and materials are also one of the materials explicitly proposed for development in China’s 13th Five-Year Plan. China’s bio-based economy has maintained an average annual growth rate of about 20% in recent years\, and its total output has reached 6 million tons per year. However\, the domestic bio-based chemicals and materials industry still has a large gap with developed countries in terms of overall scale and level. The specific manifestations are the restriction of key raw materials\, the lack of core intellectual property technology\, high product costs\, insufficient market competitiveness\, industry weak foundation etc.\n2020 International Summit on Bio-based Chemicals and Materials will focus on original innovation in the preparation of bio-based chemicals\, including bio-fermentation synthesis technology\, separation and purification technology\, three waste treatment technology\, biomass application innovation of cracking technology\, catalytic technology and bio-based materials\, in the field of food and beverage packaging\, express logistics\, electronics\, automotive appliances\, building insulation\, etc. International renowned experts and representatives of industry leaders at home and abroad to are invited to build a high-level international industry-university-research exchange platform to accelerate the industrialization & transformation of domestic bio-based chemicals and materials.
